The positive effect of cold water treatments on the human body is medically undisputed and has a long tradition
– Rainer Rieger, managing director, WDT Werner Dosiertechnik |
German wet area specialist WDT Werner Dosiertechnik has created a cooling waterfall massage jet shower called Cryo-Fall.
The invigorating and refreshing experience promotes blood circulation and provides a cold bathing experience for contrast bathing.
The system comprises an easily maintained water tank that is installed in a suspended ceiling. When switched on, the tank automatically rinses for advanced hygiene. The tank then fills up with cold water and is ready for use.
The guest presses a button on a control panel and a pneumatic valve opens, releasing a short but forceful jet of water through a large outlet. The duration of the water’s release can be adjusted.
When the system is switched off, the water tank empties completely to prevent stagnant water.
The Cryo-Fall can be combined with a range of other bathing and shower features, such as mist showers and rain showers, for a variety of experiences.
Rainer Rieger, managing director of WDT Werner Dosiertechnik, told Spa Business that the company is launching this product to meet demand for cold bathing experiences.
Rieger said: “The positive effect of cold water treatments on the human body is medically undisputed and has a long tradition. At the moment, we see “Cold Wellness Treatments/ Applications” as a mega trend in our market segment. Cold is the new hot and for these reasons we have decided to launch this product now.”
The inspiration for the product comes from manual cold plunge “bucket showers” in addition to demand from clients seeking shower systems that deliver this experience.
